II Cor. 12:9

"His grace is sufficient for me..."

I was raised in a good Christian home. My father was Sam Eaton, a Baptist minister. I was saved when I was seven years old at Arcola Baptist Church under my brother's preaching, Joe Eaton. I started singing at a very young age
with my dad and family. In 1980 my dad passed away at the age of 59
and i was crushed. I quit singing. I felt like I just could not get up and sing
without my dad and I got away from the Lord.
Through the years when I would really get convicted
my dads words would come back to me saying, " If you don't
use the talent that God gives you, you'll lose it," and through the years
I did almost lose it. I developed athsma and my voice was just not the same.
In the year 2002, I was sitting in a church listening to a group sing when I felt
that tug at my heart again. I couldn't say no to Him anymore! I decided
to come back home to the Lord that night, rededicating my life to Him,                                                                                      and I will sing for Him as long as He gives me
breath. The trials have been many but I made a commitment to the Lord
and as long as He tarries, I'm going to sing for Him, praising Him every day
for saving my soul. ~Della
